these pictures are of the pratimas of our puja last year and i think i speak for one and all that they were the best ever since the pujo here began... and of course they're my favourite pictures ever...the one below is still the wallpaper of my computer...a whole year later....
its less than a month away and i am like totally in the bong mood now... can't wait for it to start... 5 days of pure fun, magic and bliss... you gotta be a bong to understand what the fuss is all about and how a puja can be so looked forward to by one and all....

Really miss Kolkatta during this time....was there 2 years back for durga pooja.

@vivek, chaggoholic: i knw... durga puja alwez makes fond memories... our non bong frnds enjoy it as much as us... mainly coz of th food... but then everybody has their own reason....lol...
i dont have much nostaliga for durga puja....however, this time being first pujo after marriage...i ahve been shopping like mad.....some of the excitement of my childhood years for durga puja has come back i think
@shooting star: as i kid even i didn't have any spl belonging...it ws all abt goin frm one pandal to another coz my parents liked it... we all come into that zone when we feel glad for durga puja... it came at 13 for me... and its come for u now...

Will be celebrating in Dallas :-) My lead is a bong and he said he would defly gimme a lift (he was impressed that a South Indian is interested in Durga Pooja celebrations :D) when he goes for the celebrations..Aneek Dhar is visiting and I hope to catch up with him.
