That was my favourite shubho bijoya message ever. 

So durga puja, like i have mentioned like a million times before is my favourite festival, is now over... My heart sank as i saw the pratima go down in the water as all the kakimas burst into the ooloo dhwani... But then i guess all good things must come to an end and if durga ouja took place 365 days in a year then we prolly wouldnt enjoy it as much...

So basically there were a lot of good things and bad things this year around.... 

I'll start with the bad things coz i believe in ending things on a good note...

1) the 11 o'clock time limit...well nobody really enjoyed it... personally i think all those people who complained against it should be barred from puja pandals world over... i mean, you have to take the bad with the good you know...

2) i lost a couple of good friends but then one of them became rather unbearable and i regret losing the other coz of one... as far the unbearable person is concerned, no regrets there...

3) the food stalls this time pretty much sucked... it was tasteless and most of the time too spicy and hot...

4)  the performances this time were so bad that people who start dancing even with the slightest tempo didn't get on their feet...

5) the labourers who got on our truck while going for the bhaashan, uff...we couldn't even dance!!!!

6) i didn't get a prize for the quiz contest i won...

Now for the good...

1) The final night performance by piloo bhattacharya and lajwanti (of rojgere gini fame) got everyone dancing including me despite the fact that i was wearing a short dress...

2) Well 5 days of fun with friends... adda as we call it... and major pnpc...

3) I won a quiz contest!! yippee!! i had good partners but then i knew quite a few questions... so yea!!!!

4) I got to eat chicken rolls every night for dinner... what can be better than that??

5) Loads of new clothes...i had ten new sets of clothes so well that's like heaven for any chick man!

6) And for the first time ever i managed not to hurt my feet even though i wore heels almost everyday, i hurt them by falling on the escalator instead...lol....

So with wishes of aasche bochor aabar hobey we bid goodbye to the most gorgeous woman... maa durga... Hopefully next year around i'll have even better experiences to relate to...

ps: sorry for all the bengali used in the post, can't really go into translations.... the feeling gets lost....
